Anyone know of any bike shops Cardiff way that will box up a bike for posting ?

    Why would you want them to do it? Can't you just pop in to any of them, ask for a box, get hold of some bubble wrap and get to work with an allen key?

    Because the bike is 650 miles away from me so I cant do it, it is the seller.

    Ah, I see. So why can the seller not deal with it?
  • The local guys are all really helpful. But short of chucking them quite a lot for their time, cos packing stuff does take a bit of work, I can't see them easily doing this. Heck, finding the right box is often a chore, some too big.

    It's not that difficult. The shops get bikes in every week this way and presumably they send the bikes back for warranty this way too ?

    It isn't but it does take time. So reversing the process, zip tie on stuff, add protection, print labels etc. It's probably a 45 minute job for which, quite rightly, they'd want paying.

    I did think the OP would be paying for it. They must have an hourly rate for jobs ?
