Did this yesterday and almost did me in as usual.

But I think that the only other riders I saw on course were other people in the same race. Is this new functionality?

    Yes it gets confusing with others in - so races can block out everyone else.

    It's been around for a few weeks. Group events can block out all other riders - means you can see who is in your event more easily and no drafting of non-competitors.
    The 6.15 pm Castelli stage 1 was a crazy pace with a large number of people racing it.

    Excellent - much better if you can only draft people in your race.
