Just googled the 2018 SS Evo Women's model and got this

    111769-415978_1_Supersize.jpg

Colourway and front fork look different and the women's version has a definite slope to the TT. Your pic does not seem to have much of a sloping TT but it is a bit difficult to tel from the angle of the pic. Oh and the one I've found is a disc model so that probably scuppers any meaningful comparison.

Just found a Cycling Weekly review of the non-disc version and it is completely different

This is 2018 - we don't talk about gender ID...

Bit puzzled - your first pic clearly has "SuperSix Evo" printed on the display stand. The other pic you've listed is clearly a "Synapse"

Can you clarify which model is involved?

    It's the 2014 Supersix Ultegra.

    https://www.bikeradar.com/road/gear/cat ... -14-48363/

The clues are in the words Supersix and Evo written on the fork and the stand. It's not a synapse.

The first picture also has super six ego written all down the frame in white.

As they say in all the best pantos - 'Oh no it's not' - I've got one of those and can say with some certainty that it's a 2016 Synapse Carbon Ultegra.
    Cannondale Synapse Carbon Ultegra
    Kinesis Racelight 4S
Specialized Allez Elite (Frame/Forks for sale)
Specialized Crosstrail Comp Disk (For sale)

Well said...Hopefully someone isn't preparing to rib a mate for "riding a women's bike"? It shouldn't matter, and if it fits it fits. Reckon the colours of both the synapse and the supersix evo above are pretty neutral anyway. Both nice looking bikes!

I was tempted by a "women's" synapse disc in the Evans sale last Christmas as a winter bike. It was much cheaper than the men's version but looked identical save for some minor geo tweaks. Didn't buy as couldnt justify/afford it in the end...
Titus Silk Road Ti rigid 29er - Scott Solace 10 disc - Kinesis Crosslight Pro6 disc - Scott CR1 SL - Pinnacle Arkose X 650b - Pinnacle Arkose singlespeed - Specialized Singlecross...& an Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 4 string...

    This.

With some deep rim carbons and black everything else that frame colour will “pop” and look lovely.

    i’d Deffo ride that.

Billion times better than any Trek.

Errr - that's not the bike in the top picture.

    Or am I missing something?

I think the people saying its a supersix are being ignored. Even though its a supersix. The inside of the fork says supersix, the stand says supersix, the bike is the same shape as a supersix and ive already linked to the bikeradar report of the same bike, which is a supersix.
But apart from that i guess it could be a synapse....
  • ignore the top picture, that was a mistake, the actual bike is the one in the link i put in

OP - maybe we'd get further if we turned the question around. What reason do you (or your freind) have to believe that either of the bikes pictured is a women's model?

Cannondale make bikes, some are aimed at women, some at blokes and some for both. There is nothing to say that any bike can’t be ridden by either gender other than marketing. If the bike is the best fit for the person the number of testicles doesn’t matter, although three would be unusual.
