Hi, got a giant TCR at the moment and have the chance of getting a Propel at a very good price second hand, question is, do i actually need an "aero" bike? I just go club runs really, don't do any racing, would i find the Propel too aggressive and uncomfortable? I'm 42 and only been cycling couple years really. Why do i want to change? Looks sweet :D

Hi, suggest you stick with the TCR as the propel is a race orientated bike. Colleague of mine commutes on his TCR and races on a propel. Yes they are nice but would you want to give up the comfort of the TCR.

    Cheers
  • I agree, the TCR was always Giants flagship model. It’s one of the best all round frames available anywhere. If you’re only doing club runs you only go as fast as the slowest rider and if your rides are anything like mine, you end up finding some very steep hills to climb and that’s the TCRs forte.

Thanks for that. My head was agreeing but my eyes liked the eye candy of the propel. Will stick with TCR theb
