CAAD10 conversion to Praxis Zayante crankset with 4iiii crankset
The conversion from BB30 to Praxis crankset is relatively easy on a CAAD10 frame.
You do need a bearing press tool and the oversized cup tool from Praxis to make life easier plus the
correct BB conversion kit.
For BB30/PF30 it is the M30 converter for BB30 and tool M30.
For PF30 , you get an extra sleeve.
Remove old internal bearings and circlips , clean up the shell, press in the NDS first but dont squash the O ring. Screw in the DS bit and tighten using the cup tool. Note that Praxis less than generous with the width of the tool , so it can slip off when getting to the last bit of tightening. You will need 2 x socket with 3/8 drive.
The bearing covers are different... refer to documentation... 2mm does NDS 1mm goes on DS
Wavy washer goes on DS.
Slide in the crank. 8mm allen key to tighten the NDS crank. It threads on very easily unlike a normal BB30 crank.
Tighten but not so much that the crank does not spin freely.
Discover/zero reset the 4iiii with the app n Android/IOS ... pair with a headunit.. good to go.
