Anyone replaced the lever on an RSP Plummet dropper?

I'm vaguely thinking of replacing the original lever on my RSP Plummet with different one.
The original is kind of up and down motion, while I was thinking something that moved sideways like a wolftooth remote or a gear shifter.

Main questions would be how to remove the current one and is there any compatibility issues with alternatives?

Anything that pulls enough cable...I recent saw some photos of one made using a down tube road shifter mounted on a matchmaker clamp base, but an old bar mount friction shifter would do it (with the friction wound off to zero).
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
