I have cycled from Cannobio to Ascona, very pretty and if i remember not hilly
There is a sportive that circumnavigates the lake

Was there in October, it's stunning round there. Recommend the climb up Alpe di Neggia, 22km or so up across the Swiss border, stunning views on the way up over the lakes and from the top.

The routes on here are v good for that area. A lot of the best riding is actually on cycle paths and cobbly trails which aren't marked as normal roads on the map.

    Thanks for the info.
    I'm staying in Cannobio.
Do you remember if there is many cycle hire shops?
Definitely fancy cycling over the Swiss border.

Not sure, that was other side of the lake to where I was, but sure there will be, they love cycling out there.
