I am about to shorten the hoses on these brakes, but don't know if I need to:

1) Bleed afterwards and therefore need a bleed kit
2) Do I need any replacements like compression valves or can I just use the old ones.

Thanks

    Maybe and use new ones.

Might as well get a bleed kit anyway.

Have a look at the Epic Bleed Kit site. They have help for Shimano so probably Sram too.

You have top use new olives, they crush down on the hose to seal.

You can cut the old insert out (carefully, don't mark it or you can create a leak path) and re-use.

I think I have some surplus SRAM inserts and olives at home......
