Bit windy out, but going to bike up to Rodney's piller and then run up there and then ride back

Then it's empty one wood store and move it close to the house, then fill it with newer wood

Later will be roast beef and the pub

My amazing wifey (I was under no duress to write that  ) is about to make egg and ham muffins for brekkie. Tennis final, out for pizza this afternoon followed by the usual homework and preparing kids for school.

Took the hound for a walk - easier than I'd thought given the one arm situation. Now enjoying coffee and a bit of peace. May trot down to the shops later for a bit of fresh air later on.

Being Polish, does she chuck bacon into pancakes or shredded pork into scones?!

Me harrassed me. Might pedal if the rain eases. Need to drop Mrs P and toots off to soft play area for some peace.

Morning. Coffee consumed and feeling slightly better, hopefully on the mend.

Oxo - 5w LED testing without power supply. Is it possible to test polarity with a multimeter? I thought as it is a diode at the end of the day.

Morning folks, traditional slow start has been had. Just pottering about before going to the ‘rents for a late lunch. Might go for a stroll whilst we’re over there.

yes, assuming it's not one designed for ac power

bear in mind a '5w' led could be a multichip assembly and/or have some driver circuitry

Force. Cheaper and I prefer the double tap action.

@SG and Oxo. I tested the LED's using the diode function on the multimeter. Nothing, diddley squat, dunno why - maybe the battery is low. Then used the Ohms function: 0 in one direction and resistance in the other. Mission accomplished. Polarity figured out.

No circuitry in the plain 501 LED's:

...but there is in the T10's:

    Double tap rocks.

Nothing else I have ridden (all Shimano mechanical, di2) comes close to the enjoyment of a perfectly set up Red.

the diode function may be based on typical si diode forward voltage, led forward voltage will be much higher, in which case it won't look like a diode to the meter, whereas resistance will show even a smidge of leakage

Noted. All I wanted to do was to ascertain polarity.

I always thought loving SRAM was something you did in secret, that it was all about chrome plated Italian gruppos from the 80's. Well, I love double tap too.
