Crank vinyls

So decided to buy some relatively bashed up X9 cranks for a build I am working on.
They didn't look great, but I managed to sort some black vinyls to improve them dramatically! No idea how they will wear but will certainly look a hell of a lot better.

Strange this topic came up, I've recently fitted a new slx m7000 to my bike and thought this looks rather nice and have bought some crank arm protection tape cut to fit the crank arms.
My deore crank was scuffed really badly and looked a mess before i fitted the new one.
i can understand some people using invisiframe on the frame but never thought about it on crank arms.0 -
I think its two fold. 1 aesthetically it just improves them in general and secondly it protects them. So if you're spending a load on new carbon cranks, you can wrap them to preserve them. Could always get some clear vinyl cut to size and wrap them with that. Will give more protection as well.
For the cost of getting them, even if they need replacing in 12 months it's minimal.Cannondale Trail 27.5 | 2015
