New jacket

I am in need of a new wet weather jacket and have seen 2 "high end " options at a great price , i would like to know anyones experience or views on these jackets ; they are the "gore one " and the "castelli idro " . I know they both retail at about £200 , but have seen them on offer for £150 ( give or take a couple of £) . Ive read reviews on both , and they both sound great , but can anyone tell me anything to sway me in either direction ?

If you're bold enough to go with the photo print design it's only £99. It'll be raining when you wear it so doubt anyone would notice! Mines blue with hi viz external seams and I think looks great in the flesh, bright enough to be seen on dull and dank days out on the bike...rrp was £230

I've bought it at the cheap price but not tested it out. Seems like a keeper to me though from what everyone else says.

I've got a gore wear one (the original and the newer 1985). Can't fault them, light, packable, completely waterproof. I think the castelli is basically the same gore material so essentially there isn't much difference performance wise, more fit and aesthetics.

If you buy the gore, the fit between the original wear and the 1985 is noticeable. The 1985 is a much larger cut, I have a small in both and there is at least 3 inches more in the chest.
