a mate is after some. I'm a disco man so I'm not really up on rim brake wheels.
any ideas would be good. Ta.

Plenty of good handbuilt options around that price point. Zondas are excellent although a bit less repairable if anything goes wrong.0

Not bad but Zondas are lighter with deeper profiles for the price, not much in it but still better vfm0 -
100g make no ods and the extra spoke/stiffness over the zonda will be important for some so it depends how you define vfmhttp://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0

Exactly - Don't get me wrong, I've had a set of Zonda's in the past and loved them. However if you pop a spoke on the G3 designed rear wheel then you could end up with an unrideable pretzel. And I wouldn't fancy trying to do a DIY repair on that set up0 -

Not true. I popped a spoke a few years ago on my Rear Zonda. Not only did I get home ok on it, it took the shop (Mammoth in Stafford, great shop btw) a few days to replace and true it to original state. All for £25 which is about standard. A hand built would probably be the same if not more.

Btw , the spoke was damaged by a stone hitting it a few weeks earlier. It didn’t just snap for no reason.0

I have a pair of wheels for sale built to my spec by Malcom at The Cycle Clinic - only done 508 miles and immaculate. Miche hubs, H Plus Son rims, really smart looking wheels, but I've moved to disc. PM me if interested in details.0

I have great respect for the opinions of Cycle Clinic but when their products are being debated Malcolm should be neutral and keep his opinions to himself. When some are prepared to spend a fortune to save 100 gms it can not be dismissed as not important.Whether it is or not is another matter.
Trivial P. often knows what he is talking about but his regular rants tend to undermine his opinions. However on this topic I have to agree with him. Zondas get my vote.0
