Shimano Ultegra R8000 FD

Anybody in the know whether the new R8000 front derailleur will work with a SRAM 22 shifter? Owing to my medical condition (subclavian occlusion) that makes my left arm go numb after about an hour of riding and front changes difficult with SRAM, I was thinking of switching to a Shimano FD. I understand that older derivatives do work, but wondered about the R8000 following all the good reports on the FD action.
I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.

Sorted this by going R8050 Di2 and ditching the SRAM Force 22. Will work better with the Shimano direct mount brakes I have anyway.I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.0
