I know that there's a lot of threads about this topic but I haven't yet found any good suggestions of bikes that are available for me in Sweden. So I would really appreciate if you could help me!

I ride mostly trails and where I live we don't have any "real" trailsystem, so often I try to find like a jogging track that you can ride on. Some climbing but not so much. I really enjoy jumping of stuffs and just "play around" I'm not that picky on drivesystem but I think that I would like 1x or 2x. Just for simplicity and maintenance.

Things like dropper post, suspension lockout would be nice. But I understand that dropper post is most common on pretty expressive bikes so I'm not really to picky about that. I think that I want a 29er, I have rode both 29 and 27.5 and I like them both so.

When it comes to brand I really don't have a favorite. Just looking for availability in Sweden, where I live now. Brands like Orange,Nukeproof and Diamondback are hard brands to get a hand of. And some brand I have seen are pretty pricey if you look at the specs that you get for the money.

Bikes that I have like got interested in are: Trek Roscoe, Trek X-Caliber,Canyon Grand Canyon,Scott Scale.

I think that I would like a bike with a geo that looks like the Trek Roscoe. Because it looks like a more "playful" bike to ride trails with and to do some jumping.

Or if you have better suggestions.

My budget is about 1300usd +/- would like to stay close to 10000 Swedish crowns.

I would really appreciate if you could take the time to help me decide!

Take care!

  • Is there anywhere near you where you can rent a bike go find out if you like it? Or search for demo days near where you live.

When it comes to hardtail they are much easier to compare on paper as you don’t have the vaguaries of different rear suspensions, so look at the specification and the basic geometry details and that should narrow the field quite quickly.

On a hardtail the Fork is the single most important part, everything else is more easily/cheaply swapped.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
