I was in Larnaca for work a while back. Hired a bike* from the hotel for 10 Euro and rode over the border for an afternoon for a nosey then came back.

    Is it downhill?
It was on the way back.

I reckon there'd be plenty of Greeks happy to dump a Brit out the back of a van at the border.

Home made lamb burgers for :)

Had to rearrange the June holiday as Stropteen realised that she had to be back home during the week for a 6th form induction day at the school she is probably moving to: we can't move the week so she's now flying back early. Strifey has to go back as well so I have to manage for 3 nights in Cyprus on my own, doing what I want. What a disaster :D

Excellent Stevo! On both counts, lamb burgers and a 3 day holiday on your own. Utter bliss.

Hire a bike and get some Greek guys to drop you off at the border. From there, it's downhill all the way.

I took MF's advice for what to do and googled riding lessons in Cyprus. There were loads of options but the instructors were mainly attractive young Russian ladies who were a bit on the pricey side :P

No point, I'm a bit too old for Club 18-30.

Border guards were pretty confused and they didn't give me a stamp in my passport either.

Might be a bit hot and give me heatstroke - I mean, look at the sort of thread titles that SG comes up with and he rides in Lanzagrote when its hot.

You wouldn't want a droopy hooker. Just ask Wayne Rooney.

I suspect it's the switch. found one for about £30. But I'll have to take it apart to get the switch out and confirm that is faulty. Then put it back together temporarily whilst we wait for the replacements part. FFS, it's less than 8 years old and the 3rd time I've had to fix it. The old one always worked but it got rusty so the Mrs wanted a pretty stainless cooker.

I had a switch fault with a Hotpoint. Silly gas engineer said "...what tw@t fitted a 13amo fuse to this?" (electric spark), I said "The factory". Then he changed the jets which I had already changed for bottled propane.
Had to change them back. Hotpoint provided me with them when my mother bought it.

...and he has a HETAS certificate?!

Passport control was on the Turkish side of the demilitarised zone. The DMZ was a bit weird too - UN buildings and vehicles everywhere but everyone happily going about their business.

Could be either, given that I've got 3 days out there to do what I like :P
