    Ooooh.

Will be there on start date and not very far away, will need to pop down.

Oof, some tough stages in there.

Having said that I'm disappointed at a long ITT, these should be no more than 20km as it makes it biased against one or two riders far too heavily. It's ridiculous.

    Stage 20

Great to see them going back up to Lagos de Covadonga, it's such an iconic climb in beautiful scenery.
It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.
  • Only 2 especial climbs and only one of traditional GT length.
32kms of an ITT, used to be ridiculous for being too short, rather than too long.
    How things have changed.

I thought it was looking a bit light on climbing, then I scrolled into the second half.

Don't see 33 km as a long ITT either.

Since 2011 the amount of time trialling has been between 37 and 47 km (before that it was much more). At 40km this is about normal for recent years.

Hopefully there will be decent time gaps by Stage 20 that will encourage a long range attack. That stage looks to have the potential to be a classic. Shame Bertie had retired as it has all the hallmarks of one of his havoc causing stages. It needs Valverde or one of his team mates to be within a minute or so of the leader.

as always its the riders that make the race. Agree looks like a typical Bertie stage, he'd rather chase after 1st and finish nowhere than settle for second
  • Only La Vuelta could classify stage 19 as "Flat".

Last 'racing' stage of the final GT in the year teams go down to 8 riders, could mean a few teams are short of men to help heading into stage 20, making it much harder to control.
  • Like the look of that, stage 20 in particular
