They've also got a shop in Darlington now. Obviously plotting world domination.0 -
Really good bike shop with online prices, we can complain all we want but it's the prices that win it for most people. My experiences with the Staveley store have been excellent, online price for a high spec mtb and the opportunity to drive down and pick it up, plus there is a brewery next door....0

I saw this, but I hadn't realised Ilkley Cycles had closed down (I thought 'How can Ilkley support two big bike shops' - until I realised). So what happened with Ilkley Cycles then? Victim of the internet?
I wish Wheelbase well, hope they know what they're doing expanding so quickly, but it does seem the sort of place where they would do well, what with the big club based there (plus the catchment areas of Leeds and Bradford nearby).0 -
local competition is ;-
ALL TERRAIN in Saltaire...CHEVIN in Otley/Harrogate and Skipton. PACELINE in Crosshils nr Keighley ..KEITH LAMBERT Bingley....so will see how they / other shops last.:(0 -

Was in there a few weeks ago. Got some good deals on atm. Better to throw money at them than Wiggle/CRC0 -

I've never really associated Wheelbase with online prices. There are certainly other 'bricks-and-mortar' cycling websites that have better offers (Sigma etc) most of the time. I think if you look at Wheelbase's website, the prices are quite often RRP (okay, they do have sale items like every other retailer). This never stops me popping in whenever passing, but I wouldn't expect to find online prices in there.0
