Please helppp, Giro Empire SLX sizing advise

Ok, so I'm looking for a pair of Giro Empire SLXes, but am not sure what size to get. My feet length is 28.5cm on the longer side, but Ive heard that the shoes fit small so idk if I should follow the sizing tables. Ive had the opportunity to try the size 44, which was too small, but sadly they don't import any larger sizes into Singapore, which is ridiculous. If anyone has any experience/owns a pair, I'll love some insight. Thanks

I have a pair, they are slightly on the small side. I size up a pair from my non-bike footwear (so I take a 45 in the Giro and 44 in most other non-bike shoes).

+1 for Giro sizing small on the EU scale.

I usually take anything between EU41 (womens)-42.5 (trainers) for regular shoes but need EU44 for Giros. Which I found out the hard way by buying some Empires in 43!
If it helps I have both Giro Republic in EU44 and Specialized Audax in EU43 and they seem similar, though I haven't used the Specialized in anger yet - both come up at about 27.5 cm on their respective charts.

If anyone is interested in buying a pair of black/yellow Giro Empire ACC in 43 I have a barely used pair in the cupboard.

I have Giro, Sidi, Shimano etc all in UK 45. Size 10 in shoes, size 11 in most trainers.

The Empire are slightly smaller than other Giro, but slightly. I'm still comfortable in a 45 but it's tighter. A 45.5 would probably be better.

Confusingly the Empire VR90 and normal Empire (AAC) are not like this, and a 45 is absolutely fine.
