Giant Contend 1 or Specialized Allez Sport

Confused between these two bikes.

    Hi Ronit, I cant speak for the Contend but I have the E5 Sport and it's an incredible all round entry bike. Fulcrum Racing 5 wheels with Continental GP4000Sii tyres transformed it though, whilst the wider OEM wheels are better out of the box compared to other bikes in the price range they mute the bikes handling and it's excited feel. Also most oddly (to me) braking was night and day better.

    My first Allez was burgled, and I rode quite a few £1,500 carbon/Alu bikes I was thinking of 'upgrading' to (BMC, Specialized, Giant, Trek etc) - none of them were as fun or engaging to ride as the Allez so I picked up another until I can justify something else that is.

    The Allez is also the most bought and most stolen road bike here in the UK, so that probably says a lot. You wont regret buying one.
