1980s Raleigh

Hi
I have bought a 1980s Raleigh to use for my short daily commute to work. It was very dirty and seized up but after cleaning looks ok. I am new to bike maintenance and an not sure whether the join of the rear dropout and the chainstay is ok as it looks like it hasn't been brazed well (please see the linked picture). It looks like it has always been like this so maybe it is ok.
Can anyone advice me on this?

Looks like it's detached in that pic. If it is, then it should be easily noticeable while riding..0
