The guests have finally left, which is odd as they only live a mile away.

Bottle bank of shame will be done soon and then to the neighbours for a party

    Shoot, work tomorrow

Me too. Tried to win the lottery to free myself from wage slavery. Failed, so back to work.

Later start. Well, I say start, but I didn't actually do anything of note today whatsoever, so start is probably the wrong term...

Poolside recovery mainly. Chatted to a mate for a couple hours this afternoon about nothing in particular, till the bar opened.

Good kick-off to the year I think

My head hurts. Need to jump on a bicycle to go in search of the car. Good night last night and I have started the year as I have started so many others.
Hope everyone has a happy 2018

Have to agree with Goo there.
Had various messages from the lad last night. He’d missed the NYE barbecue because he thought he’d have a quick kip beforehand as he had to be up to work at 5am. The half hour kip lasted 10 hours. Like father like son.
About to go to the ‘rents to eat some zampone (pigs trotter) then pedalling to some former neighbours for drinks.
Really not looking forward to tomorrow.

Zampone sounds so much better than trotter. In either language though, I'd pass on that.

Been out for a ride round the soggy badlands of the SE London 'burbs. Went for a random route selection and even got slightly lost at one point. At least the legs will be less rusty on Wednesday when the lard shedding programme proper kicks in.

Now enjoying a large coffee and relaxing , safe in the knowledge that I have tomorrow off 8)

New brake pads on. Rubbing like fcuk, whatever I do. I might have to rub them down a bit on a sharpening stone.

Do not watch Despicable me 2 or 3, it all goes a bit pear shaped.

Minions is the best of them, Stevo watched it 127 times.
