Hi guys ive just come into possession a rather nice Hercules Balmoral , i found a catalogue dated 1953 on tinternet , would this be right for age or did they produce them much later on after Raleigh takeover?

They did. If it has Hercules Nottingham on the badge it was post Raleigh.
f it still has the original SA hub you can date it from that.I don't do smileys.

That's nice. I was looking for something like that locally as a commuter. Got this, nice and cruisey for my 5 minute pootle to the office and shops.
Changed the saddle, and added some cheap panniers. And the pedals for some nice spiky flats. Those rubber things were deadly as soon as the air was moist.
