Phone battery issues with Quadlock case

Hi all, used my Quadlock iPhone case today for first time and my battery drained from 80% to 20% in 40 minutes. Usually I can get a good few hours battery life using Strava and Viewranger at same time.
I’m pretty sure it has to be a coincidence but just in case it’s not has anyone else had issues?
It could be that I was just using Viewranger a bit more than normal as phone was attached to my bars, but have been using it for route finding for a few years now :?:
