Use the first letter of the answer to the questions for all the letters of a cycling related anagram, then solve the anagram of a famous alpine climb. No Googling!

1. Christian name of Frenchman who won tours and a host of other races, born in the 1920's
2. Fagnini, Renshaw, Petacchi even.
3. Only British rider to have worn all Tour de France jerseys
4. Camenzind, Friere etc.
5. Italians with weak hands love this push button job.
6. Ol' Ben Cluter (Bertie's long lost American mate, anagram)
7. Swiss conqueror sews up ancient race conceived by Vienne and Perez
8. The Gypsy.
9. Tyrolean town hosts future worlds
10. First name of Belgian close to a stage win in the TdF until his tyre rolled off on a corner. Loose tape? R.I.P
11. Tour of the mostly flat lands
12. Merckx, Hinault, Indurain...
13. Whippet safety bicycle, Cambio Corsa, Osgear; had first incarnations of the modern...
14. Opening event of the Belgian cycling season
15. Amstel's best beer can finish you off here.
16. A bizarre accident led to this Spaniards death
17. Diminutive Colombian avoids slipping on Autumnal obstacles to win.

Good luck.

Keep up at the back. I posted the missing answers on page 1 of this thread as Orraloon had worked out the anagram but if it's any comfort to you, you are right.
