Best power per second for indoor / turbo work.

After 'training myself' with a couple of books on power I run 3 second average on the road along with zone, but wondered if 10 or indeed 30 second power may make more sense indoors as far more consistent at holding the required output. I did a wahoo team sky training plan this afternoon and at times looking at 5 min higher power intervals rather than the short super high bursts that the mixed interval session offers.
Anyone else running 'longer' power span on the turbo and does it makes sense ?

I think you need to keep an eye on your instantaneous power so I’d definitely keep the 3s power on there (1s is way too jumpy for me) I think the 30s could be interesting but could be a more personal preference
