Changing rear cassette on Campag veloce.

Currently running a Campag Veloce set up on a Bianchi Oltre. 10 speed 12/27 ratio fitted.
Looking at making it a bit more hill friendly as we are blessed to have more than our fair share in Cornwall, and just wondered if anyone had any ideas what ratio I could move to without replacing derailleur.

    Centaur 12_30 cassette.

    12 30 will work with a short cage mech and compact 34 50, its what im running
    Caveat - I buy and ride cheap, however, I reserve the right to advise on expensive kit that I have never actually used and possibly never will

    Thanks folks , running 52/36 rings on the front so if that works well with the 12/30 Centaur,looks like that's the choice for the next upgrade.
