Be very careful if you are thinking of buying any cycling stuff from ACycles, which is based in St Etienne in France.

I recently ordered a pair of Sidi mtb shoes from Acycles, which their site confirmed was in stock. My PayPal payment was accepted. However, they contacted me the next day to say they didn’t have any in stock so they cancelled my order and said my refund would be actioned back into my PayPal account that day. It didn’t happen!

The next day, I emailed them and they said it was prioritised to be refunded that day. It didn’t happen!
I emailed them the next day and again, it didn’t happen.

The refund still didn’t arrive over the next three days so I got PayPal involved. On day 6, PayPal started a claim against ACycles and on day 7 day, surprise, surprise, my refund arrived. I think that if I hadn’t involved PayPal, I would still be waiting for my refund.

I have since done some research on ACycles, which I should have done beforehand. Some UK cyclists might find this useful.

ACycles is the trading name for 2JBike Europe. They both operate out of the same address in St Etienne. 2JBike is named after the the president, Andrew Jackson, and the Director General, Simon Jollant.

Their joint address is 21 Rue Charles Cholat 42000, St Etienne, France.
The 2JBike Europe telephone number is 04 77 32 33 51
The ACycles telephone number is 04 28 04 05 83

If anyone is currently having problems with their ACycles order, I would suggest you don’t email them. You won’t get anywhere. It might be better to call either Andrew Jackson or Simon Jollant personally. Rattle their cage! Good luck.
