Will a 27.5 x 1.5 inch tyres fit on most mtb 25.7 rims or would they be to narrow for the internal rim width?

Can't find info on the max rim width for this tyre?

A 1.5" tyre can be used on an upto 30mm rim without any issue at all, no XC bike will have a rim wider than that. It will probably go to a 35mm rim at a push, but that's into 27.5+ territory.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

I prefer fatter tyres to commute anyway. More comfy. 1.75 or even 1.95.

    What tyres do you have?

These were my favourites as I did quite a bit off road on my previous commute, but haven't been able to find them locally for years. I have some Contis now but can't remember the model. I just prefer a bit of air and cush rather than rock hard skinny tyres, and I'm generally not in a major rush.
