Background ads

In the past few weeks the ads that take over the background of the mb mean that certain tabs are unavailable.

For eg, there is a Betway ad on now which means I can't access "Your Posts" "New Posts" "Private Messages" "User Control Panel" Or Logout". Board index, FAQ and Search too.

I can see them but can't click on them.

Not just betway, Volvo ads too and some others I can't remember. It happens any time one of these "take over background" ads appear.

This is on Google Chrome.

Beyond annoying!!!

    There are some online tools that just might block ads, but you wouldn't want to use them because BR makes money from ads.
    And that would be rude.

    I have no problem with adverts, I know how the world works.

    But certain ones are affecting basic site functions. The ones I'm complaining about aren't normal, there is obviously a glitch in the system somewhere.

    I can't be the only one with problems?!

    Plus I'm at work and trying to explain the needs for an ad blocker to the IT bods isn't worth the hassle.

    I use the company Explorer for my work stuff, and loaded Chrome for my personal stuff with an ad blocker. I use Chrome at home on all computers and my phone, so nice and easy with a a Google/Gmail ID.

    So I have no idea about problems, except I don't see any ads at all.

    I just went on the BR homepage and a huge advert came up for Paypal covering the bottom half of the screen but it wouldn't let me click on anything else on the homepage and I couldn't see how to close the ad.
    I had to reload the page so there was a different, less obscuring advert.

    Ad blocker has now been installed - sorry.

    Ads shouldn't be interfering with the site.

    For any ads that are, please let me know the following and we can get them blocked:
    - Click through URL
    - When it happened (date and time)
    - Location (country/city)
    - What device you are using
    - What browser you are using
    - What Operating System you are using
    - Network connection (3G/4G/WiFi)

    Typically, since posting things have gone back to normal.

    Wow, you missed shoe size and sock colour! Sorry for being a bit cheeky but that's quite an ask for information needed to fix a problem. Surely the web developers should be testing for these issues?
