I have just moved from Garmin bike computer to Wahoo, so i always used Garmin connect on my PC to manage my bike rides, so do Wahoo have a similar program/ app that i could use on my PC?

Not as far as I know. It's all on the app.

I tend to use 'Ride with GPS' to plan a route and then Strava to keep a record of activities. You can set it to upload an activity to other sites if you prefer. Not sure if Garmin is one of those.

Gotta admit, when I moved from Garmin, not having to use Connect again was one of the big upsides.
  • If you're on Ride with GPS/Strava etc any rides will be automatically(once you set it up) uploaded and so will see on computer as soon as ride finished. Wahoo can be linked to lots of different apps/programs so sure you'll find one you like. I just use RWGPS and Strava.

  • Can you not just carry on uploading the files (manually) to Connect?

  • It definitely won't work with Garmin express. You wouldn't really expect it to when the when the two companies are in direct competition.

Save the file and then upload manually to Garmin express. Just be aware that not all data will be displayed, I assume because garmin doesn't want you uploading files from rival devices.

Tbh though why not use the free training peaks?
The Wahoo will auto load to that and you can see your data even on the free subscription.

I use a Bolt. If I want to plan a route to follow I use Strava (on the PC) to make a route and save it; since my Bolt is connected to my Strava account the next time I power it up in range of a friendly WiFi network it automatically syncs the route, plus any starred Strava segments I may have selected. From the Bolt I can then find and start the route if I wish, or simply start a ‘workout’ to record my ride (if not following a route). This can all be done without even having a phone with me.

Once finished the Bolt automatically uploads the recorded ride to Strava the next time it gets online. This usually means that as I pull up outside my house I get a buzz from my phone to tell me that Strava has a new upload... the Bolt has done it before I even have my helmet off. I can then inspect my ride in the Wahoo app, the Strava app or Strava on a PC (through a web browser).

It just works. No faffing, no cables, no manual intervention, just seamless planning, recording and displaying of rides.

Connect will connect to Strava. Go into the Strava setup page and there are options to link with other sites.

Use https://tapiriik.com to sync one way/both ways over most performance sites. Works really well. Use the date function to fine tune.
