Anyone been using 2.35" G-Ones Speeds on tarmac in chilly weather?

Given the tyre width, I thought this might be the best place to post this thread...

I'm planning to do a ride around the Cheddar Gorge area on the Wazoo, using the FatNotFat 29er wheels, probably tomorrow when there are forecasts for widespread frost early on due to temps around -1C overnight. By the time I get over there from Warminster, it's going to be at least 1200, so I'm hoping the sun will have worked its magic (but as it's my first visit, I've no idea if some sections may be in the shadows all morning any may well be still frosty).

I've got five tyre options for this cat3 hill fest, including a pair of 2.35" G-One Speeds, but I've not used them since around July and so I've no idea how they handle a bit of frost.

Has anyone here ridden on the road in frosty conditions with G-Ones?
Did they have any grip, or was it scary as heck?
