Hi All

Looking for some recommendations on some commuting tyres for my mtb, I will be traveling around 12-14 miles a day mainly on tarmac back roads and the odd gravel road, they need to be 29er and hopefully with good puncture resistance, I will most probably run them tubeless as well.

Thanks for any advice.

    Indeed, those are bomb proof.

Any 700c road tyre will suite, I run some 700x28C Conti Ultra Sport II's on my commuting bike (Back roads with lots of gravel in places), light, fast rolling and aero.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

They were £13 earlier this week, possibly even yesterday!Good all-rounders, have a pair on my Wazoo 29er wheels, roll well on the road and decent tread for bit of off-road trail action. Not officially tubeless and they are wired bead, adding to weight (~560g each)

Some have risked using https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/TYVIVOHY/ ... lding-tyre on light off-road, they fly on the road apparently.

Maybe have a look around for Schwalbe G-One TLE at a good price? The 2.35" versions are great, used my pair over the summer, no idea how they perform in winter months and perhaps I should have sticked with them to find out instead of swapping back to the Marathon Cross.

I use these for my commute, around 8 miles each way. Other than the odd detour down the canal I use them purely on the paved roads around Manchester and haven't had a puncture (yet!). Id highly recommend them , really fast rolling.
