So the Trek has gone and now looking for something fun for a mixture of fast flowing rides, red routes and climbs.
Budget, max of £1500.
Must be fun
Must climb ok
Not for any types of jumping/steep downhill racing etc
1x 11 and dropper would be ideal – but if bike is under budget I can put these on.

Trouble is I can’t ride all the ones I am looking at due to what LBS sells!

So bikes that have caught my eye for one reason or another:

Whyte 905 2017 (already 1 x 11 & dropper)
http://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/gear/categ ... iew-50804/

Saracen Zenith 2018 29er (as it’s from my LBS and they will do a deal with a dropper)
https://www.tredz.co.uk/.Saracen-Zenith ... 113575.htm

Orange Crush Pro 2017 (nice spec, good components but too slack? now discounted to 1350)

Whyte 629 2018 (can get a dropper with budget)
https://www.whyte.bike/629

Bird Zero TR (£1450 if spec with NX 1 x 11, RaceFace Dropper and better bars)
https://www.bird.bike/product-category/ ... -hardtail/

Anything else you can add to make my decision any easier??!!

I'd pick the Bird, but they're mates so I'm a bit biased.

Great bike, excellent back up straight from the designer, lifetime warranty.
