Mavic xa elite. Normal v boost.

I have just received a pair of Mavic xa elite wheels from Evans.
They delivered the wrong ones. Sent the boost size. They have no more in stock now. None coming in either.
The boost front hub has gold spindle extensions held on with an allen bolt. If I remove these, do they then become 100mm? What about disc alignment?
The rear has the same gold extensions but without the allen bolts. But I heard that the cassette alignment is very different with boost.
I won't remove them yet as I will probably have to return them.
