8 Speed wheels / compatibility

So my gf was knocked off her bike by some lemon who failed to stop after he cut her up.
As a result, her front and back wheels are both very badly buckled and I think she’ll need a new pair.
It’s only a b-twin special (500), but I think it’s 8 speed - which is uncommon these days!
Could anyone advise on the compatibility of 8 speed cassettes on 11 speed wheels? Can it be done with appropriate spacers?
Or can anyone propose some cheap (robust comes before performance) wheels? £50-100 I guess for the pair.
Cheers

No problem whatsoever, any wheel that can take 11speed cogs, will take 8 speed cassettes as wel, maybe with some spacer(s)0

You'll get some cheap, robust wheels from Decathlon.0

8,9,10 speed are all the same freehub, 11speed road freehub is wider and will need a spacer.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
