Hi, this is my bike:
https://www.merida-bikes.com/en_int/bik ... 0-164.html
i think its about time to change my headset bearing (they are caged not seald)
my steerer is tapered, but i only seem to find the smaller bearing (for the narrow part of the steerer).
If someone could send a link to a set or only some way to look for the bigger bearing that would be great!!
Also, the rear shock's top bush is a bit loose, should i just replace the bushes?
If so, is it a standert part or do i need a specifiec bush for my shock?
Thanks!!!

I'd replace it with a whole new, decent sealed bearing headset.
There are a few standard bushings, but common size is 12.7mm. No idea what Suntour take, you could ask BETD or TF Tuned.I don't do smileys.

If you want to stick with an open bearing system, just buy loose balls of the same size and fit as many as will fit.
Cages are a cheapskate option as they reduce the number of relatively expensive ball bearings they have to install by using a cheap pressed cage, its inferior to filling the race.
But with CD, I'd replace the whole lot even though it is more expensive.
As for the bush, have you checked the bolt is tight? what looks like bush wear can be the the adaptors moving due to the bolt being loose.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
Thank you,
I didn't know i could replace the bearing to sealed bearings, i tought that the shape is different (i also think that sealed is better).
How can i know what are the two sizes that i need for the bearings?
And as for the shock, yes, the bolt is tight enough, and i sent those shops a message.0 -
You need to get a full headset, including the cups, crown race etc. Not just sealed bearings.I don't do smileys.

Ok, but how do i match a crown cups and bearings?
I couldn't find any complete "kits"..0 -
It's just a headset. You only need a headset that matches your frame. It comes with all the various bits.I don't do smileys.

Like this. Which should fit. You might find cheaper, you will certainly find a lot that are more expensive. Based on the link to your bike you need a Zerostack 44/56
