SRAM compatibility - Rival hydro 22 and Apex x1

Hi all
Managed to get hold of some SRAM rival 22 hydro shifters
I'm wondering if these will be compatible with a SRAM X1 rear mech
This is for my cyclocross bike which is running a single front chainring so only going to be using the rear shifter
Apex X1 is exact actuation
What do you think?
