Something like an S Works Ground Control or Renegade would be good if you don't want to spend too much.
  • SCHWALBE X-ONE ALLROUND

    available in 27.5 x 1.3" (around 33mm).

Eye wateringly expensive, hence why I have not used my 650b's for spare cx wheels.

Depending on your MTB, you might find you can fit 700c wheels with 32-35mm CX tyres. No idea if that's an option or not, but might be worth considering if it is..

I want narrow tyres for mud clearance.

I could use my cx bike but mud clearance on my frame is worse than many other bikes , so after one/two lap sometimes wheels clog under the forks & at rear so i thought using my mtb with narrow tyres would work better.

Looking at other peoples bikes after a race just even a few mm extra seems to make alot of difference/with clogging under the forks.
