Cervelo R3 Disc vs. Giant Defy Advanced Pro 1

Having trawled through many a summer deal in the past two months and being overly reluctant to pull the trigger I've come across two deals that are quite appealing to me, but I'm unable to decide which I prefer between the two. Now I know that the Defy and R3 are at the opposite ends of the geometry spectrum, but the price of them both makes it difficult to chose one over the other. My question is, which one would you go for (recommend) and why?
