Road bike hire in Switzerland

Hi

A group of 6 of us are heading to Switzerland next June, hoping to find a place to hire bikes in Brig? We'll be getting the train from Geneva to Brig and then on to Munster Geschinen (near Ulrichen) where our accommodation is. Anyone know of a place where we can hire road bikes? Worst case scenario is Geneva but I'm struggling to find something nearer to the Alps, which would avoid us having to go into Geneva from the airport before getting the train to Brig.

Intersport not allowing reservations that far out, can't see what fleet they offer either. Bike Switzerland the only reply of any substance I've had so far, their Director said:

"At the moment, I can’t give you options. This year we were able to send bikes out with the CFF (Swiss Train Network), but not sure if we’re going to reach an agreement to do this for next year. We’re working on it, but won’t have an answer for awhile. If next year works like this year then we would be able to send you the bikes to Brig so that you would never have to come by the shop in Geneva and you would pick them up at the train station. "

Thanks Tourdriving, I've sent them an email.

One other thought - we head back to Geneva on a Tuesday but our flight isn't until the evening - thought about stopping at Sion on Tuesday, leaving bags in the lockers and spinning up the Col du Sanetsch, so bike hire in Sion could be another alternative, allowing us to drop the bikes off en route back to Geneva.

Yeah, I'll admit I gave up trying to make too much sense of that. Looks like you've got a solution anyway.

The other tactic I tried when I was staying in Montreux and wondering about hire was to contact local cycling clubs to ask - I did get one useful response at the time - they'll tend to know what what in their area.
