Have had my dale built up-60cm frame....being 6-4 and in the saga club my flexibility isn't great so I dint have a "slammed stem". What I do have is 3 Hope Spacers and a dead stem. Whenever I hit some rough road or rail lines there's a knocking from the head-tube/headset. I was told it could be because the spacers don't fit well. What does or any other ideas.

  • Could be slack in headset. These integrated sets need a little more tightening down in my experience than standard star type clamps.

Loosen the stem bolts and see if you can gently do up the top cap a little to take out slack. Shouldn't need much if not constantly banging.

If not that then suppose could be spacers but only know of Giant running a wider steerer tube - but could be wrong.
