As the title says I’m looking at buying a set of wheels that have shimano freehub I’m running Campagnolo chorus eps groupset now been told changing the freehub in the sl1 wheels is a nightmare so I’m looking for a campagnolo compatible cassette on shimano freehub been told Miche make one but can’t fund any info what so ever

Any advice be great thank you

Asked a shop via eBay and reply was ‘ If you want to fit it to a shimano freehub buy the shimano version. You may have to set the indexing up on your gears again. If you cant do this dont buy. I dont want the return ‘

So I’m guessing I but one marked shimano rather than Campagnolo!!!!

  • I was also trying to put you off buying on ebay as I will be shutting the ebay shop shortly or putting it on holiday. yes you need a shimano cassette but you could buy the campag freehub for your wheel and buy the miche cassette for campagnolo.

While shimano and Campagnolo 11 speed spacing are very close they are not identical so eps will shift better on a campag cassette than a shimano. You cant with EPS set the gearing up from the middle of the cassette. this info was missing from you ebay question and is quite important. hense the nature of my reply. This is why the ebay shop is going I get half questions and too many returns.

yeah, just stick with the shimano. one of your gear selections might be a little fuzzy but you should be ok generally...

I used a Shimano cassette on a Shimano freehub (11-speed) with a mechanical 11-speed Campag group and it works fine - they're close enough not to notice any problems. I'd suggest trying that first. But like Malcolm says, EPS may have more of an issue so if it does, then get a Campag freehub and cassette.
  • Thank you everybody that took time to reply will give sticking with shimano cassette and see what happens

    thanks again
