How round are your balls?

What grade bearings are worth buying for cup & cone shimnao hubs. My hubs need servicing on several wheels so am going to buy some new shiny balls.

Are grade 10 worth getting (supposedly more round) or the cheapy grade 1000 balls?

    I use 10 but 100 is fine as the hubs don't have really high tolerances. If you are using them in winter I'd consider getting stainless- I've not had to replace any in several years of use (with regular re-greasing). Stainless is not quite as hard as regular steel but for bike loads they're fine.
