Seat post size - 31.8?

Id like to replace the seat post on the MTB.
Bike spec says the seat binder is 31.8 but I'm struggling to find a post either carbon or alloy at that size - 31.6 is the largest. Is 31.6 the correct size and the binder is larger to fit around it?

You probably have a 30.9mm seat post, or maybe a 27.2mm.
Have you removed the seat post to check if the size is stamped.engraved on it?
