Hey guys. I was working on my hard tail today and after I had removed the rear mech and cassette I found this small dowel and gold bush on the floor. Do any of you have any idea what this is? I can't seem to find a place for it anywhere !!!

    Looks like a jockey wheel bush and a cover from the end of the rear gear cable.

    I've not seen a jockey wheel bush with a top hat section.
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

    Nope not from the jockey wheels they are still in place and working fine. So wierd I have no idea what it is...

    Hey solved !!!

    Turns out it was the pin for my chain tool that pushed chain pins out doh !!!
