Nice. Do you have to continue riding the Everest challenge or select it once and then all rides contribute to it?My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

You have to go waaaaay past Everest summit and keep going
going
going
if you select to ride up and hill repeat, it is mindnumbingly baaaad just like proper old school turbo and yes all ascent gained in all rides contribute.
I'm just going it to get rid of it now, but doing it by Sunday is looking ...tough going.0 -

Select the Everest challenge. Ride until complete - then keep riding, and riding, and riding, and riding....
Don't select another challenge!0 -
3800 metres to go.. essentially with Tower repeats and getting there, it's about another 4 hours on the turbo.
Only just realised that having everything metric, clicks the XP counter a lot faster than having things in Imperial.... this is confirmed by a lot of people to be the case.0 -

Don't select another challenge!
Ta. But it's ok to select other types of ride? So, I can do, for example, a FTP test round Watopia as long as I'm still in Everest challenge mode?My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

As long as you dont pro actively change the challenge in your settings, you can do whatever ride you want - race, workout, course.0

Yes. Set and forget. Then do whatever else. Free ride, group rides, workouts, all count towards the challenge climbing. And yes as said above your XP points accumulate either per km or mile ridden, so you reach each level quicker if you ride in kilometres!0 -
47,300 metres.
I could do it in 2 rides up the mountain .. more likely by Wednesday , now.
Basically, I've switched off any thought of 'training' for the time being.
Just pedal the bike listening to Deezer.0 -
I'm using an older version of something like this:

it is a bit of a gamble but mine works fine and mine only has 4gb ram and a worse processor.
if you don't fancy buying off gear best you can pick them up on ebaywww.conjunctivitis.com - a site for sore eyes0
