Hey guys,

I am looking for a shorter stem for my Cannondale F4 HS33 model from 2008. I have a Fork Super Fatty Ultra 80 DL with currently a 120mm Cannondale XC3 Headshok 25.4mm stem.

So I know the handlebars are 25.4mm in diameter but my question is what fits on the Headshok steerer? I saw something about 1" and 1.5" but it was not entirely clear for me.

I really enjoy the Headshok suspension so I hope there is still something that fits.

Any advice is much appreciated! Thank you for your time.

measure the steerer tube. Or stem.

  • I don't have the right tools to measure very accurately but lets assume it is 1". Am I limited to the Cannondale specific Headshok stems of the XC3 serie? Because if so it seems there are no short stems available for it online.

I also just notice that this question might be more appropriate for the "buying section" on this forum. Sorry about that.

You need to measure the steerer diameter. Wrap a strip of paper and make a mark on the overlap.
Use a ruler surely you have one of those and divide by pi.

There are two sizes. 1.5in and something a tiny bit bigger r but way bigger than 1in.

I have an stem what length you need
