My basic Garmin edge 200 has given up the ghost so looking for a new inexpensive computer but would love a cadence option included & altitude if possible without breaking the bank.

Depends what features you want and what you mean by "inexpensive"
Garmin 520's can be found for under £200 which is a good piece of kit for the money and you can add a cadence sensor.
Lezyne Macro GPS is about £90 and allows you to add a cadence sensor.
Sigma 16.12 is about £50 and can take a cadence sensor

I'd suggest most of the time people buy cheaper computers move onto more feature-heavy ones at some point, so save yourself the cash in a year or two and just get a Wahoo Bolt and be done with it.
