gloves - correct fit?

I need full gloves (rather than mits) now, for health reasons. I ordered a Specialized pair - fingers are a little longer than they need to be, but they feel very snug - maybe a bit too snug - across my hands. Should I look for a bigger pair, or go based on finger length? I've had similar with other brands too - think I have stubby fingers!

Try some on. It's impossible for anyone else to advise on what gloves will be comfortable for you.

As above really, go to a shop and try a lot on.
I'd go for a snug fit, but nothing that feels too tight anywhere.

Thanks. I have tried a few pairs. These feel ok, if a bit stiff, in the flat. I won't be able to return them after trying on a ride - though may just need to give them a go and see if they feel more/less comfortable after a few miles...

Mine are quite comfortable. They are a Large.

And then, if they have some that fit, buy them from the shop.

Don't use your LBS as a demo store, and then give the money to Wiggle / CRC etc.

If you think yours are a bit too snug then they probably are.
    Try the next size up.
