crankset: from non-boost to boost frame

Hello all. I'm considering buying a new carbon crank for my non-boost (142 rear) 29r. My question is: will it be a problem to use this crank on a boost frame if I build up a boost bike next year? Thank you!
Also, any preference for an XX1, XO1, or Race Face next?
And...What's the difference between an 11 & 12 speed crank? Can I use an 11 speed for the Eagle setup?

Some boost frames need a bigger Q factor crank to clear the stays, the chainwheel needs to line up with the cassette on a larger chainline, an 11 may well work, but may not.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

Boost frame is only (?) 3mm wider per side.

If you choose a chainset with removable spider and assuming it clears the chain stays, you can fit direct mount chain ring with offset (0 - 6 mm available) to move the chain line out. G
